Gus at 11 Weeks

Happy eleven weeks to me!! It's funny how day-to-day it doesn't seem like I'm growing a lot, but then when my mom looks at pictures of me, she can definitely tell that I've grown up!

This last Thursday I went to the pediatrician's office for my two-month check-up. I really liked the nurse practitioner that I saw, and my mom has decided to take me back to her in September (on the 13th). My mom was super excited to see that I gained some weight-- I do tend to spit up after I eat, so she was worried that maybe I wasn't gaining because of it. However, I weighed 11 pounds and 5 ounces! I am also a little taller... I am 23.75 inches tall... which means ALMOST two feet tall!

I lucked out because my mom and dad have decided to postpone my vaccines until I'm two. That way I'll be more developed and my body will be more able to take the medicine. My parents ARE going to vaccinate me, but they want to wait, and I'm okay with that! My mom will be staying home with me, and I'm going to be around her (mainly), and I'm not really at high risk for getting any diseases (I'm not in school or day care).

This week, the longest that I slept was for nine and a half hours! Can you believe it! My parents were super-duper excited!! I usually get a bath at 7:30 and then I'm in bed by 8:00 for my late-night snack, and asleep by 8:30. I then sleep through the night until 5:00-5:30ish. My parents are thankful that I'm such a great sleeper! Mom likes to go back to sleep after my breakfast, so I usually join her until 8:00-8:30. Sometimes, I will even sleep until 9!

This last weekend my Grandma and Grandpa Walker came for a visit! I saw them in MI for the Fourth of July weekend, but it was neat to have them come to my house and see me. They even watched me so my parents could go on a date! They went to Carrabba's for lunch, then they went shopping for me (of course), and then went to the movies to see Dispicible Me. They went grocery shopping after that and came home to me! It was nice for them to get out and spend time together and I enjoyed the snuggle time with my grandparents!

This week it'll be just me and mom during the day, and then dad at night. Mom's best friend Aimee will be coming next week with her family, and I can't wait! We're going to go to the beach! It'll be my first trip to the ocean! Maybe I'll even put on my swim trunks and go for a dip!
