Six Months Old!!

On Thursday I celebrated six months of life! My mom made me bananas to try for brunch and I did not like them! I think they are too runny and I couldn't quite get them down my throat, so instead, mom made me some sweet potatoes which I liked and ate.

I went to the pediatrician's today for my six-month well-baby visit. I was such a good boy! My mom and dad are so proud of me for how well I did and for how much I've grown! My weight last visit (9-13-10) my weight was 15 pounds. Today my weight was 17.5 pounds (48th percentile). Last visit my height was 25.25 inches and this time it was 27.25 inches (78th percentile)!! And then last time my head was 16.25 inches and this time it was 17.25 inches (52nd percentile)!

My mom and dad decided to get me my first vaccinations today too. I didn't get all of the ones that are "recommended" but I did get three that mom felt were pretty important to keep me healthy. I got my flu (+H1N1) shot (I have to go back next month for the follow-up shot) and then I also got the DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis- Whopping Cough), and the PCV (Pneumococcal- Prevnar 13). Mom and dad were right there holding me when I got my shots and while I did cry, it was just a little bit and then I was back to smiling and being happy.  :)

I am excited for Monday to get here because my Gram and Pap are coming for the week! They were supposed to come earlier and then Gram found out that she has something to do for work, so they're going to come Monday instead. Then they're here for almost a week and then my Grandma and Grandpa Walker are coming on Wednesday the 24th for Thanksgiving! I'm so excited to see all of my grandparents! They're going to be so surprised to see how much I've changed in the two months since I last saw them all!!
