Me at 40 Weeks Old!!
What a great week! Yesterday I had my nine-month well-baby appointment and I was a super-star! Mom and Daddy were so proud of the growth that I've been making, and so happy to learn that I'm developing right on track (and in some cases ahead!)!
My measurements all showed growth (they're on the side of my blog under "My Stats") and I'm right where I should be. She said that I'm a strong baby, and she liked the way my heart and lungs sounded, and she felt my belly and liked how strong my abs were. I got to stand for her, and show her that I can stand up using only her finger for support, and then I sat up unassisted and she let me crawl around a bit. She felt my hips and liked how they felt, and then she looked at my gums... she said, "Come on teeth!" She said it's normal for babies to wait until the tenth month before getting teeth, so maybe this will be my month to cut some teeth on the bottom!!
The rest of the week was great. Last Wednesday, I decided that I didn't want to wear my diaper anymore, so I took it off. I surprised mom with being naked when she came in to check on me. :)
Then on Thursday we spent the day with Kaitlyn, Ashley, and Wendy. I love Kaitlyn so much... she's so sweet with me. I always smile when I see her. I think she loves me too.
I celebrated turning nine-months-old on Friday (there's a post on here about it with pictures). Mom gave me some vanilla yogurt and I ate the entire container. I love it! Here's a few pictures from my yogurt eating on Friday:
This weekend we didn't really do anything... we just stayed home and relaxed. I love the weekends because I get to spend the whole time with momma and daddy. I love my daddy... he's such a fun guy! I love when he joins me on the floor and lets me play with his face. Or flips me upside down.
Yesterday we went to the park before my doctor's appointment and I loved it! I really like the swings!!! Mom had fun too and it was nice to be out in the fresh air and soak up the 75 degree weather!!
It was Valentine's Day yesterday, and I got a nice card from the Kruse family, and they also gave me a cute stuffed dog. My Grandma and Grandpa Walker sent me a Valentine's Day card too and it was very sweet. I can't wait to see them... they'll be here a week from Thursday!!
Mom's been running around like crazy today trying to gather things to take with us to Michigan.
While she was getting some things gathered, I decided to check out Elphie's crate... here are some pictures of that and from this morning:
I'm excited to see Gram and Pap, Uncle Scott, Aunt Christie, Alex, Lily, and then see my birth parents, their parents, their siblings, and two of mom and dad's friends. We're coming back in May/June to meet baby Charlie... and then I'll see everyone for my birthday. Mom and dad have some friends that they can't see this trip, but are for sure going to see in May/June (Aimee and Caroline for sure... maybe more).
I hope the trip tomorrow is easy and I don't get too sick of being in my car seat. Ned and Elphie are coming with us, so it'll be nice to see them while we drive. Plus mom or dad will be in the back with me to entertain me. I am so excited to see everyone and meet family that I haven't met yet!! I know mom will take a MILLION pictures and will post them next week!!
