Me at 41 Weeks Old!

Where do I begin? What a week!! We left on Wednesday for Michigan and had a pretty easy drive. I wasn't too upset because mom was in the backseat with me and kept me company. We sang, laughed, played, and slept while daddy drove. I was okay until we got to Toledo, Ohio and then I was just ready to be out of my seat and ready to stretch and play. We left NC at 5:00am and arrived at Gram and Pap's around 5:30pm. Mom was happy with getting there and having enough time for them to play with me.

On Thursday we went to lunch at mom's favorite place, Big Boy and then we went grocery shopping. We met Pap at home and then we all headed to Farmington Hills to meet my birth father and his parents and sisters. I was so excited to meet my birth aunts!! It was a wonderful visit and I can't wait to see them again in May. My aunts gave me a panda pillow pet and my birth father gave me a giraffe stuffed animal. :)

After our visit at Jungle Java, we headed to Eastside Mario's to meet Uncle Scott, Aunt Christie, Alex and Lily for dinner. I loved seeing my Aunt and Uncle and seeing my cousins again after so long without seeing them!!

On Friday Aunt Christie came over to Gram and Pap's for the day and brought Alex and Lily to play with me. I like Lily a lot, and I REALLY like Alex. :)   We had fun together and then Gram made spaghetti for dinner. I had some noodles and they were yummy!

On Saturday we got up and Gram made eggs, toast, bacon, and sausage for breakfast. I didn't get to have anything but toast, but it sure smelled good! Then mom and dad and I went to meet my God Mother Jessica for lunch. We also met my Great Aunt Sharon and my second cousins! It was a great time, and then mom and dad took me back to Sharon's house and I got to see my Great Uncle Mike and then spent some time at their house. They gave me a GIGANTIC frog!!!

After our visit with them we headed back to get Gram and Pap and then we had dinner plans with Aunt Christie's mom and step-dad, and Alex and Lily. We went to Buddy's Pizza. This is the same place that we went after my baptism in May! Mom and dad love Buddy's!

On Sunday we had plans to meet mom's friend Anne and her two children Ava (4) and Cole (2) at the Jungle Java in Canton at 11. I had a great time with them and they gave me a book (The Mitten) and my very first set of blocks! Then at 1:00 my birth mom and her family came so they could see me. It was my birth mom, her parents, her best friend, and then her two brothers and one of their friends. I had such a great time with them and really loved the gifts that they brought me (I am so spoiled)! They gave me a bee pillow pet that my birth mom named "Mayor Bee", and then a pull and play xylophone, some clothes (very cute outfit with a frog hat), an Elmo, and then my uncle brought me a GIANT bear!

While we were at Jungle Java it began to snow! We had plans to go to Outback for dinner with Mary Breeding (she's a friend of the family), so we got home and then pretty soon after headed out for dinner so we'd be home before the roads got too icy.

Hugs from Lily (Pap thought it was very cute)

Uncle Scott says I look like an accountant or insurance salesman... hmmmm

We spent the day on Monday (yesterday) together at home. Pap and mom took me outside so I could play in the Michigan snow. I didn't cry at all!

After pictures outside, we all headed out for a few things. We stopped and had coney island for lunch (per mom's request)... this is something that mom wishes they had in NC. After everyone had their coney dogs and chili cheese fries, we went to the Dollar Tree so mom and dad could get some picture frames for pictures of me to hang on Gram and Pap's wall. :)

Then Uncle Scott and Aunt Christie came over for dinner. We had roasted pork, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, and corn! Yummy!!

Notice that I'm totally balancing myself???

I love Max!!!  :D

My cousin Lily sure is neat-o!!

We had to say our goodbyes and then head to bed because we got up at 4:00 this morning to drive home. It was a long day, but we made it safe and sound! I had such a wonderful week seeing everyone!!

Almost home... playing with my panda pillow pet

I can't wait to see Wendy tomorrow and then on Thursday, my Grandma and Grandpa Walker are coming for the weekend to visit!!! It'll be another fabulous week!!!!

This whole week that I was in Michigan I kept trying to balance myself while kneeling down. I also stood unassisted a few times for several seconds in a row! Gram, Pap, Uncle Scott, and Aunt Christie all said it won't be long before I'll be walking! They said probably within the month, if not sooner than that!!!  :) Mom isn't so eager for me to start walking though. I wonder why...

See you next Tuesday!!
