10 Months!!! (March 11th, 2011)

 

Me at 10 Months Old!!

Can you believe that I'm ten-months-old already??? What a quick month!! It was also a wonderful month that took us to Michigan to see family, I got to meet several members of my birth family for the very first time! I also decided to try to start walking this month!!

I still do not have any teeth, but I am producing enough drool that you'd never guess that I didn't have any! I also like to check mouths and see what teeth look like since I don't have any of my own yet.

I like to talk and I recently discovered my tongue! It's amazing! Here are some picture that mom took of me for my ten-month-birthday:

Some other things that you might be interested to know about me is that this month I started screeching! Sometimes I sound like a bird, or even a dinosaur! I took my first wagon ride this month and I even took my first steps!! I'm doing such a great job with eating too... I like to eat mac-n-cheese, bagels with cream cheese, and cottage cheese!

Here are the things that my mom's What to Expect the First Year book says could happen in my tenth month (before I turn 11 months):

• Get into a sitting position from my belly
• Pick up tiny objects with my thumb and finger (I can already do this!)
• Understand "No" (I already do this!)
• Play patty-cake or wave bye-bye
• Cruise around furniture (I do this)
• Point or gesture to something to get my needs met
• Stand alone momentarily (I do this!!)
• Say "Dada" for my daddy and "Mama" for my mom
• Say one to three word other than mama or dada
• Stand alone well (Yep!!!)
• Start to use baby sign
• Play ball (roll a ball back and forth with someone)
• Drink from a cup independently (I do this!)
• Use immature jargon or gibberish (I do this!!!)
• Respond to a one-step command without gestures (I do this!)
• Walk Well

Mom made a birthday wish list for me on Amazon (the link is on the side of this blog). Also, I have my first birthday coming up and lots of people have asked mom what size I wear. I'm right with my age, so I'm going to be 12 months, and I'll be wearing 12 month-18 month clothing! :)
