Gus's Grandiose Gabble: 42 Weeks (March 1st, 2011)

So things happen so quickly around here... I decided to try and walk yesterday! Mom and Wendy were calling to me and I decided to take my first steps! I took a step toward Wendy and mom was amazed. Then Wendy had me and mom was calling, and of course I had to go to her! I took about three steps forward towards mom! Now... my steps were the first of a lifetime to come, and they weren't perfectly balanced, but they were definitely steps! Daddy got home about five minutes later and mom and Wendy had me try to take some steps again so I could show him was I can do. He wasn't as excited as mom and Wendy, but he also wasn't feeling very well.

Now... let me tell you about my week! My Grandma and Grandpa Walker came for a visit!! They got here late on Thursday night and I was still awake for them when they got here. Then we had a blast together on Friday. They went to the store at lunchtime and came back with a very big surprise for me... my very first wagon!! I absolutely love it! We put Gilbert (my bear) into the wagon with me and grandpa took me for a ride up and down the street! I was so excited!

After having so much fun and really enjoying the warm weather, we came back inside. After grandma was done with her work stuff, they both took me for a walk and mom put me in my Michigan hoodie and put some sunglasses on me (it was starting to get chilly).

Mom thought I looked so cute with my sunglasses on! Right around 5:00 daddy got home and then mom took more pictures of us all together.

We went to Mamma Mia's in Apex for dinner and everyone seemed to really enjoy the food. I decided to just fall asleep because I was super tired from all the fun I had during the day!

On Saturday we went shopping! Mom and dad bought me some clothes for next fall (since all the clearance clothes were winter clothes) and then Grandma and Grandpa bought me some clothes for fall, but also some for now! They even bought me a new pair of shark swim trunks and a swim shirt! Grandma can't wait to come back and go to the beach!!

After shopping we went to Red Robin for lunch. We came back to the house to relax and mom made dinner. I loved spending the whole day with mom, dad, and Grandma and Grandpa Walker!

On Sunday morning, Grandma and Grandpa left and then I spent the day with mom and dad playing. Yesterday was a fun day because mom took me and Wendy and the girls to the park! I had so much fun playing at the park and it was 80 degrees here!!

So that brings us to today! I had another great day and look forward to practicing walking more! Mom is going to try to capture it on video... when she does, she'll post it on here.
