Me at 51 Weeks Old!!!
Okay... so next week I'll be turning one and will no longer be considered a baby. It makes my mom sad that I'm going to be a toddler. :( I had a pretty good week... here's what happened:
April 27, 2011
We got up and mom let me wander around the kitchen and explore the house and porch...I loved it!!
I had fun playing all morning and then around 11am I was starting to REALLY get tired and needed mom to give me a chance to take a nap.
When I got up from my nap, mom fed me lunch and I tried pickles for the first time.
April 28th, 2011
We got up on Thursday and Kristen and Grace came over for a playdate! I love spending time with Grace and I think she's funny. Mom and Kristen like to talk while Grace and I like to play. Wendy came over too and brought Kaitlyn and Ashley with her. I hadn't seen them in weeks!!
Daddy had to work late Thursday night, so it was just me and mom for dinner. I love it when mom gets out her camera... but I hate the flash!!

Mom and I got up and I played while she watched the Royal Wedding. Then Suzanne came to clean the house and just when she was done with the upstairs, I was ready for my nap. When I woke up from my nap, she was gone and the house was super clean!! Mom loves it when Suzanne comes to clean!! (So do I!)
When daddy got home from work, he wanted to get his haircut, so he took me with him and we went to get our hair cut again at the barbershop. I did a really good job and didn't cry at all this time!! We came home and I played for a bit before we went to Outback for dinner.

I did a really good job at Outback and I had a whole bunch of food that was delicious!!

We didn't go anywhere or do anything all day Saturday. Mom loved it and I just played all day. I had a good time and mom even let me watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (my favorite show)!! I finally figured out how to get up on the platform of the playhouse in the livingroom, and I am able to go down the slide on my belly again and again!!

I got up with daddy and went downstairs and I played and ate breakfast while he watched tv. He was watching CBS Sunday Morning and I was very interested in what I saw on the tv:

Yesterday was so fun! Mom and I got up and had breakfast, and then she and I went with Wendy to take Kaitlyn to preschool, then we went to Krispy Kreme for a Triangle Mommies event! Mom did NOT let me have any donuts (Wendy was trying to get her to let me have some), but she let me have some Wagon Wheels and I loved them just as much as I'm sure I would have loved a donut!! After we went to KK, we went to Wal-Mart and then we went and picked up Kaitlyn and then we went and had Mexican for lunch. I ate Kaitlyn's food... and didn't want what mom was trying to give me. Sometimes, it's just better to eat what other people have. Right?
We got home and I played for a bit and then I took a nice nap.

That brings us to today. I got up and played in my room for a bit, and then mom and I went downstairs and had breakfast. I played all morning and took two naps today. I've been in a pretty good mood all day, but was really happy at lunchtime. Mom gave me hummus and whole wheat tortilla, as well as some apple oatmeal, and turkey stix... it was a yummy lunch!
Mom called and made me an appointment for May 13th to see the dentist! I'm excited to go and have my mouth checked. Mom is eager to find out if there will be any teeth coming anytime soon. She is thinking about using the same dentist as me (it's a family dentistry practice) and hopefully we can have the same dentist and go together! Mom wants me to not fear the dentist like she does. :(
She also called today about changing my pediatrician. The new one doesn't start taking new patients until next week, so I'll go to my old place for my one year well-baby appointment, and then move to the new place for my 15 month check up.
Want to hear something crazy? It was a year ago tonight that mom and dad found out about me. Jessica sent mom a message on Facebook asking her to call her... mom and dad were with Gram, Pap, Uncle Scott, Aunt Christie, Alex, and Lily at Outback in Michigan to celebrate Mother's Day. As soon as mom got the message, she told Gram and Gram got excited. When mom got to the car, Pap and Alex were with them and she called Jessica and found out that my birth mom had picked mom and dad to be my parents!! It was such a wonderful day for them!!
It's amazing to think that a year ago today was the first time my mom and dad knew they'd be my parents. I'm so thankful that my birth mom and dad picked them and that we're all connected. I love that I get the best of both worlds.
