Week 54 (May 24th, 2011)

 

Me at 54 Weeks (12 months and 2 weeks Old)

I had a great week this last week! Not only did I start running and kicking, but I threw a ball for Elphie, I put items into a container, my birth certificate arrived, and I went swimming for the first time and started to practice feeding myself with a fork!! Here's a run-down of my week with some pictures!

 

May  18th

We got up and headed over to see Kristen and Grace! I love playing with Grace and we had a great time together!

We got home from Grace's house and mom fed me lunch. I took a power nap in the car on the way home from her house, so I was in a pretty good mood.

Lately, I've enjoyed trying to see how much food I can fit into my mouth without choking. Sometimes I win and sometimes I start to choke and food flies out of my mouth as I cough. Mom doesn't like me putting so much in my mouth, but I do it every chance I get.

 

May 19th

On Thursday we got up and played downstairs all morning. Mom and I went grocery shopping in the afternoon, and I got some new toys since there were a few duplicate gifts from my party. I got a new Duplo Zoo to go with the zoo animal set that Grace got me, and then I also got this awesome LeapFrog learning car. Mom got me some tank-tops that match a lot of the plaid shorts that I already have, and then I also got a new pair of sandals. Here are pictures from Thursday:

May 20th

On Friday we didn't go anywhere and had fun staying at home. Mom made me some eggs for breakfast and I loved them!

Friday was also the day that I tried strawberries for the first time. Mom got some fresh ones at the grocery store and while I do love strawberry flavored stuff... you can see by the pictures that I don't love actual strawberries.

May 21st

 

Saturday morning we didn't do much, but after my morning nap and lunch, we went to the AT&T store, Target and Wal-Mart. On our way to go shopping, mom and I shared a cherry flavored Tootsie Pop. I really liked it!

 

When we got home, daddy checked the mail and saw that my birth certificate arrived!!

 

May 22nd

Sunday was a great end to the weekend with daddy. I love spending time with him on the weekends. I spent the entire morning in my pjs and then was able to play at my water table in the afternoon. Here are some pictures from the day:

Mom and dad put me down for my morning nap and then when I got up, it was time for lunch and then I went outside to play at my water table.

Daddy inflated my pool so that I could go swimming on Monday. I was super excited!

Mom and dad tried to put me down for an afternoon nap, but I didn't feel like sleeping. Instead, I wanted to take my diaper off, so I did. Well... I had to use the bathroom, and since I wasn't wearing my diaper, I peed on the carpet instead. When mom came in to check on me... she found me buck-naked and pee on the carpet. She yelled for daddy and then she took me downstairs while daddy cleaned up the mess.

I really like nudie time. :)  Daddy brought down the sheets to my crib and put them in the magical washing machine. Mom put me in a diaper and shorts and then I just had to go check out the washer.

 

May 23rd

Yesterday was awesome! I woke up in a fabulous mood, and ate all of my breakfast. I played all morning and was super excited about my pool and to go swimming in the afternoon!

After I took my morning nap I had lunch. Mom let me try to feed myself and showed me how to do it. I tried and mom was really proud of me!! I can't wait to keep trying!!

After I finished eating lunch it was time to go swimming! Mom had filled up my pool earlier in the morning and by the time we went in, it was warm!!! I absolutely loved swimming and can't wait to do it again each day!

 

May 24th

That brings us to today! I got up this morning and then had breakfast. We played and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse before it was time for my morning nap. I was very relaxed this morning...

When I got up from my nap, we had lunch and then mom took me outside to swim! Mom invited Wendy and the girls to come over and they brought some toys. I love swimming with friends!!

It was 95 degrees today so it was awesome to cool off in the pool. Mom got some sun (which she keeps saying she needs) and I was covered with waterproof lotion, so I didn't get any sun at all on my fair skin!! :)
