Gus's Grandiose Gabble: Week 59 (June 28th, 2011)

Here's what I've been doing since my last post on Saturday!!

June 26th

When I got up on Sunday, I spent the morning with daddy and we played on his iPad for a long time. He has a lot of fun games on it that I love.

There's also an app that's the book "There's A Monster at the End of This Book" and it has Grover on it and it's awesome!!!

June 27th

We didn't go anywhere or do anything on Monday. Mom and I just played all day. I did take two naps and she was very happy about that!!

I've been doing really well with signing to mom and dad! I can do the sign for kitty, all done, milk, and I can express if I want more of something and if I'm hungry, but it's not exactly signing. It's great to be able to share what I want with mom and dad and they are able to get my needs met!! I can wave hello, and if you ask me where my nose is, I can identify it almost every time!!

My favorite toys are my Duplo blocks, my ABC/123/Farm Animals magnets on my board, my shape sorter, and all of my books. I absolutely, positively LOVE books!! I also love my water table, but I haven't been out to play in it for a while (it's been too hot).

I've been having some problems with hitting though... and mom and dad have had to be very firm with me when I hit them. I usually cry a lot and then mom and dad give me hugs and tell me that they love me, but it's not okay to hit. I'm going to try harder not to hit, because I don't like to be told no (I cry).

June 28th

On Tuesday, mom made me strawberry-banana muffins (from scratch) and I played all day and then after my nap and lunch, we went over to Wendy's to watch a movie and to hang out. It was a good day!

If you give me a towel, I can play for a really long time and laugh and laugh at how silly I am being!

I LOVE Baby Mum Mum rice crisps!!

I'm tall enough to look outside the window and I love to watch the hummingbirds that come to the bird feeder that hangs on the window!!

I tried strawberries and whipped cream for the first time on Tuesday... I LOVE whipped cream! Mom likes to put the can to my mouth and just spray it in!!! It makes me laugh!! Daddy says that mom is, "So refined..." hehehe

June 29th

Today we were supposed to go to the park for a K15 (all babies that are going to start kindergarten in 2015) playdate, but it rained all night so it was cancelled. Instead, I slept in and decided to take my diaper off... luckily for mom... it was a POOPY diaper and she got to clean up all my poop!! She said it was a good thing that it was a pebbily poop and not a runny one...

She had no idea what she was in for...

Thankfully, mom didn't get too mad. She just put me in a new diaper and put some clothes on me. Then she took the sheets off my bed and put them into a bag and carried them down with us. She put it in the washer right away.

We had breakfast and then I played all morning. I took my nap and then mom and I went shopping with Wendy and the girls. We got home and I played in the dogs' water dish. I decided to dump it out and water went ALL OVER THE FLOOR!!! Mom was NOT happy!!

I can get onto the couch (and off) all by myself!!

Mom and dad had some packages arrive today and mom put down one of the boxes for me to play with. It kept me entertained for over an hour!! I played with the box while mom made dinner and dad installed Apple TV!! Now I can see pictures of myself all day while we listen to music!!
