Week 8

Here we are at week eight... and I am still in Michigan with my mom. We had a minor set-back this last Thursday and found out that the Interstate Compact Office misplaced some of the paperwork to get me home to NC. We're not sure how long we'll be here in MI, and today is the four week mark of when it was all filed.

This Sunday I'll turn two-months! I'm excited for my Uncle Dave, Aunt Heather and cousins Eamon, Aine, and Benton to arrive on Friday for their visit. They'll be staying with Gram and Pap and I'm looking forward to meeting them! Mom hopes that we're only here another week because she misses Papa and wants to go home. Their fourth wedding anniversary is Thursday, and while I'm the best gift that they could receive, an even better gift would be for us to be allowed to go home.

I've been sleeping on and off hours this week. I think the longest that I slept at one time was six hours, and mom is sure tired. I think I'm going through a growth spurt because I like to eat and eat and eat... and then sleep all day and on and off during the night. It doesn't make mama happy.

I need to go to the pediatrician for my two-month check up, but mom wants to wait until we're home in NC because I have to get some shots. She wants to talk to Papa about it and decide what they're going to do about it. Mom's not sure if she wants to spread out the vaccines or do them all at once.

I've been sitting up more in my green chair and my neck is getting stronger! I've also started to really notice rattles and other toys, so mom makes sure to give me tummy time and time to play in my activity gym. I like looking at the toys, but my favorite thing to look at is still the fan-- I just think it's the funniest thing that I've ever seen!!

I'll make sure that mom posts again on Sunday with some updates for the two-month mark. Maybe she'll have some good news to share about when we can go home!! Be sure to check out my youtube channel for new videos that mom posts during the week!!
