Week 13 (8-10-10)

Well another week has come and gone! I will be three months old tomorrow! My mom can't believe how quickly things have gone, and yet, slowly at the same time!

I've been sleeping in my crib each night for the last week and it's wonderful! My mom has finally gotten the hang of things and now can get me to fall asleep without needing my paci! She's pretty good!!

The longest stretch that I slept this week was just over ten hours! Mom and dad were SOOOOO happy!! They were a little worried too, but I reassured them that I was indeed still alive, but just sleeping very soundly!

Tomorrow my mom is taking me on our first MOMS Group event! We're going to a lady's house for a meet-and-greet. Hopefully it'll go well and mom will make some new friends, and I will make new friends too. It'll be nice to have people to do things with as I get older.

This last week mom and I went to Wrightsville Beach and Fort Fisher with mom's friend Aimee and her family. We went to the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher and then we went to the beach and I got to put my feet into the Atlantic Ocean for the very first time!! I liked it, but I was really hot so mom took me to a little pop-up cabana for me to relax in. While I was chillin' in there she fed me my lunch! We stayed at the beach for about an hour and then we went to this neat restaurant called The Oceanic for dinner. We sat outside and it was absolutely beautiful!! Mom said that it's a place that Gram and Pap like to go to when they're in town. They're supposed to be coming to visit for Labor Day, so hopefully we'll get to go there for dinner!!

I've started to notice my hands. I haven't completely figured out that they belong to me, but I have learned that I can put them into my mouth! Sometimes I prefer to suck on my hands than to eat!

I laughed for daddy this week too! He was tickling me and I started to laugh. It made him laugh and then he did it again and again. I just love spending time with him... I can see why mom thinks he's so funny!!

I think mom is going to post tomorrow... at least a picture and some information about how our trip to the MOMS group went!!
