Me at 21 Weeks!
Next Monday I'll be five-months-old... can you believe it? My mom can't get over how quickly I am growing and how much I'm changing each day! I think I've definitely gotten a little taller, as my pajamas and swaddle are getting to be too short for me!
This last week was a fun one because my mom turned 34. On Wednesday (September 29th) mom took me with her to get her hair cut and eyebrows waxed. She had not been to see Shannon (her hair stylist) since April!! Shannon cut mom's hair and I was entertained by some of the other girls that work at the salon.
On Thursday the 30th, we went over to Wendy and Ryan's to celebrate Ashley's 2nd birthday. I enjoyed getting out of the house with mom and dad, but it was hot over there and with all the kids it was louder than what I'm used to. We ended up leaving because it was my bedtime!
Speaking of bedtime, this week I decided not to sleep through the night anymore! Instead, I wake up between 11 and 12, and then again between 3 and 4, and then up again around 6. It does NOT make my parents happy, but they come and get me and usually it's just because I am hungry. I mean come on, I am growing!!
Mom was super excited this week because she ordered me Sophie the Teething Giraffe to help me with my teething. She had read a lot of great things about it and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that she did because I love her! I like to chew on her and she makes the pain of teething go away!
This last week mom took more pictures of me with Pap's camera. She might be getting a new one this week! She is very excited because she found what she wants on Craig's List and it's significantly cheaper than buying at the store! She emailed the guy today and hopes to go see it (and maybe buy it) tomorrow!
Here are some of mom's favorite pictures from last week up until Saturday:
Then on Saturday, we celebrated mom's 34th birthday (and Uncle Scott). Dad got up early and brought me downstairs so mom could sleep in. He also made her breakfast (she was so happy) and then we gave her her gifts. I got her the new Guitar Hero game for the Wii... and Daddy gave her a very special necklace that made mom cry.
My birthmark
Then after a bit, we got ready to head to dinner for mom's birthday. We went to Outback Steakhouse (mom's favorite) and met her good friend Jen there. It was a great birthday! On Sunday, mom took a few more pictures of me wearing a warm-up suit... it was a little on the chilly side, so I had my hood up for some of the pictures. Here are some of mom's favorites from Sunday:
Yesterday I went to the Holly Springs Fire Department for a tour with the MOMS Club. Mom decided to put me in the Ergo and carry me around and I liked it so much that I fell asleep while she carried me. I was so comfy and warm! I wasn't too interested in the fire engines or ambulances, but the other kids sure were!
That takes us to today... I went to my first MOMS Club general meeting today. After the meeting, mom took me to Moe's with Wendy and the girls. Then we came home and went over to Wendy's to hang out for a bit and I played with Katelyn and Ashley. They watched a movie and because I'm not allowed to watch television, I got upset and wanted to nap. So, mom brought me home and I took a nice long nap.
Tonight we're going out to dinner to meet one of daddy's high school friends who is in town for business. Tomorrow mom has to take Mindy to the vet because she's very sick. Mom and dad don't know how much longer she'll be alive. :(
I'll be sure to post next Monday with a new picture of me wearing my five-month onesie!:)
Gus
