Week 22 (October 12th, 2010)

Me at 22 Weeks!

Today I am 22 weeks old! Yesterday I turned five months old! Can you believe it??

This past week was fun and I did some fun things and met one of dad's old friends from high school!

On Wednesday we took our oldest cat Mindy Jo to the vet, and unfortunately, she was too sick for us to help her and we had to say goodbye to her. I didn't really know Mindy too well because she was older (14 years old) and didn't ever pay me any attention, but it was still sad to watch mom and dad cry about losing her. Last Tuesday night one of dad's friends from high school came to town for business and we met him at Mamma Mia's in Apex. We had a great dinner with him and I thought he was very funny. His name is Jeff. Here are some pictures of me while we were at the restaurant:

That night mom thought she had hit the jackpot because she found the camera that she wanted on Craig's List. It was a lot cheaper than she had expected, AND the guy was willing to take $100 less than his post! So mom made arrangements to go and get the camera after dinner with Jeff, but unfortunately, the guy said that he wouldn't be able to meet, but wanted to do it Thursday night. Mom was excited!


On Wednesday mom decided to play dress up with me and she took some really cute pictures of me in a cute corduroy outfit! Here are some pictures:

On Thursday, mom had hoped to hear from the guy about the camera, but he never replied to any of her emails. She was very sad and disappointed. Lucky for her, daddy loves her so much that he told her to just go out and buy a new one! Not only did she get the camera that she wanted, but she got the silver one (it looks very cool), AND the telephoto lens that she wanted AND a new camera bag that's custom made! Mom got to design her bag herself!! I can't wait for her to get her camera so she can start taking pictures of me with her camera!


I've started doing something new this week... I have decided that EVERYTHING is funny! I laugh at everything, even if it isn't funny! I just start laughing! I've even tried out a few different laughs to find the one that I like the most. I like how mom laughs and sometimes I try to mimic her loud laugh. :)


On Sunday while daddy was watching football (the Bengals), mom decided to make me some babyfood in the Beaba. She made me avacado-banana puree and I kinda liked it. It was different, and I wasn't sure at first, but it wasn't too awful. I liked it better than the peas!!

Yesterday I turned five months old! Wendy came over with Katelyn and Ashley and I got to enjoy time with them. I really like Katelyn... mom and Wendy think that when I get older I'm going to have a crush on her. We'll see about that... here are some pictures that mom has of me and Katelyn together (the first four are from last week and the last ones are from yesterday):

 That's it for me! This week daddy is in Indianapolis for a conference and it's just me and mom until Friday. Mom was sad this morning after dad left- she hates to be away from him. Tonight we're going out to dinner with Auntie Jen and mom's friend Kim-- we're going to the Carolina Ale House (mom's favorite)! The last time she was there was May 10th... the day she told Jen and Kim about me! Little did she know that only five hours later she'd get a phone call that I was on my way into the world!!! :)
