Gus's Grandiose Gabble: 38 Weeks (February 1st, 2011)

Isn't this the funniest picture?? My mom said it looks like I'm in the middle of singing! I was actually in my crib chatting when mom came in with the camera and snapped a few pictures of me for today.

Last week was a great week! I had lunch on Wednesday with Auntie Kim and Auntie Jen and mom and I got to meet Auntie Jen's new boyfriend, Matt. He was very nice and held me and thought I was cute (which I am). Here's a picture of me with Auntie Jen and Kim:

I was so happy to see them both!!

Then Wednesday night I decided to sleep as long as I could and I didn't wake up until 9:30 on Thursday morning!! Mom was worried that something was wrong with me since I usually wake around 7:00, but she let me sleep and I decided to sleep for another two and a half hours! :)

Thursday was a very important day because we had our final home study for my adoption! Our social worker (Walt) was going to come over at 5:00 and mom had to get the house cleaned for his visit. So Wendy came over to help mom and I played with Kaitlyn and Ashley while they cleaned.

Then Walt came at 5:00 and stayed until 6:30. Mom and dad think the visit went well and I even got to show him how I can climb the stairs! He was amazed at my skills and said that he's never seen an eight-month-old do what I can do! :)

Then on Friday, Wendy and Kaitlyn came over for a quick visit and mom gave Wendy a book to borrow. While they were talking, Kaitlyn pushed me around the house on my dino. I love Kaitlyn!

Saturday was daddy's 36th birthday and mom put me in her favorite outfit for dinner. Of course she had to take some pictures because I looked so cute! Don't you agree?

We spent the day on Sunday just lounging around and I played for the majority of the day. Dad watched the NHL All-Star Game (played here in Raleigh) and then the NFL Pro-Bowl. I decided to wear my Bengals outfit since it was Sunday...

Mom thinks I am getting cuter every day and she just loves taking my picture!!! I'm starting to think she needs an intervention, but I am not going to complain... I think everyone should see how big I am getting and how handsome I get each day! :)

Yesterday we saw Wendy and Ashley for a very brief period of time (less than an hour) because Wendy had a bunch of stuff to do. So, instead I spent the day snuggling with mom, playing, and having my picture taken some more.

Today mom and Wendy went to their MOMS Club meeting and I slept through it. I've decided that for my afternoon nap I'll give mom a run for her money... I've been taking over an hour to finally fall asleep. :(

This afternoon, mom came in to see what I was doing and she found me (like I usually am) standing up waiting for her greeting. She wasn't too happy to see me standing up... she wants me to nap, but I just don't feel like it!!
