Me at 39 Weeks Old!

Okay, did you know that I'll be NINE MONTHS OLD on Friday?!?!?! Isn't that the craziest thing ever? These months are ZOOOOOMING by so quickly!!

So while the rest of the county was buried in snow last week, we had one absolutely beautiful, sunny, warm day here in NC. It was in the 70s! Mom wanted to take me to the park so I could experience it for the very first time. She figured that I was big enough to handle the swings, and maybe the slide (with help) so she asked Wendy and the girls to join us and we had a picnic and played in the warm sunshine!

I absolutely enjoyed myself and loved being outside! I hope that we go back to the park a lot this spring and summer when it's warmer and I'm a little bit bigger!

My cousin Aine turned six on Thursday! My mom says that she remembers when Aine was as tiny as me... before you know it, I'll be turning six!!

My napping has improved this week and I have taken a small nap in the morning and then a nice long nap in the afternoon. I've also done well with sleeping through the night. :D

This last week was Super Bowl Sunday and we cheered for the Packers (mom and dad HATE the Steelers). Mom put me in her Reggie White jersey and took some pictures of me:

Yesterday I spent the whole day with mom and then dad worked late, so I had even more time with just her. I love my daddy, but I absolutely LOVE my momma!! I love to say, "momma" to her and I love to smile and laugh while she sings to me. I also like to talk to her when she talks to me.

I've gotten in a bit of trouble this week though... I've decided that I want to climb and stand on everything. I even figured out how to get out of my straps on my chair and I like to stand up. Mom gets really mad and tells me no, and I giggle at her because she's funny. She usually starts to laugh at me, but then tries to get serious again and tell me no.

I HATE to be told no. I usually make a really sad face, and I start to cry. And when I cry, I cry REAL tears. It's something that breaks momma's heart.

I still don't have any teeth, but I'm soooo close to cutting some (I think). I can't stop drooling and I always have to have something in my mouth to ease the pain.

My eating has been great this week too. Mom finally figured out that I just don't like pureed food. I really like veggies that she's eating, and I like potatoes, and chicken, and ham, and cheese, and pretty much if it's good enough for mom to eat, it's good enough for me!  :D

Here are some of mom's favorite pictures of me from this past week:

Mom will be back on Friday with her usual monthly post. I'm excited to get my nine-month-picture taken!!!  :D

See you next week!

Gus
