Week 69 (September 6th, 2011)

 

Me at 69 Weeks Old

This last week was phenomenal! Not only was I still on vacation, but I went from Michigan seeing my family there, to Indiana where I spent the rest of my trip with Grandma and Grandpa Walker! Here's how my week went:

Wednesday, August 31st: We went to Uncle Scott and Aunt Christie's house for the day and had a Wii party!! Before we went there, we had Big Boy for lunch (mom's favorite) and then went to Gram's work for a little bit.

Thursday, September 1st: Mom and Gram and Aunt Christie had a "girls day" so daddy and I spent the morning and afternoon with Pap. We went to Pap's work and then to Mongolian BBQ for lunch. When we got home, we spent a little bit of time playing and then I took a nap. When I woke up, it was time to head to Uncle Scott's house. 

Gram and Pap babysat my cousins and me while mom and dad went to dinner with Uncle Scott and Aunt Christie. I was very unhappy that mom and dad left me!!

Friday, September 2nd: We said goodbye to Gram and Pap and headed to Indiana to see Grandma and Grandpa Walker. Here's how I kept myself busy in the car on the four and a half hour drive:

While we were heading South, dad showed us the University of Findlay (where he went for his Master's Degree):

We got to the farm and hung out for a bit before heading off for dinner:

 

Grandma and Grandpa borrowed a minivan for us to use... daddy had to install my carseat!

Saturday, September 3rd: We got up and had breakfast at this place in Rushville, Indiana. Then we went to the Amish School Auction and Fundraiser... it was super busy! I liked seeing all the animals! Then we came home and I napped and then I went for a tractor ride and then swimming after dinner! It was a great visit with my grandparents!!

Sunday, September 4th: We headed to Lumpy's for breakfast and then got on the road for NC. Here are pictures from my day:

Monday, September 5th: Happy Labor Day!! We spent the day unpacking and going grocery shopping!

 

Since Faux Aunt Greta gave me a bunch of clothes, mom reorganize my closet!

Tuesday, September 6th (Today): We got up and played and mom and I took silly pictures on her phone!

Did you know that today I learned how to sign for "thank you?" Well I did! I can now do signs for: please, thank you, more, eat, drink, kitty, and hi/bye! I can also say the following words: hi, bye, kitty, mama, dada, no, shoe, cheese, and ught-oh!  Mom is so proud of how well my language is developing!!
