Back to Blogging

 

It's been a while!!

So it's been quite some time since I last posted anything about Gus, and I had stopped because of picture issues with Blogger, but that doesn't seem to be a problem anymore (knock on wood). I was uploading to our family share site, but it's not the same as a blog.

So I'm back to blogging. 

For now, anyway.

You may be wondering what have we been doing??? Well... we traveled to Michigan and Indiana two weeks ago to see family and friends. It was a great trip and thanks to a combo birthday party with our niece Charlie, we were able to see so many friends and family members all at the same place. It was wonderful. We haven't seen some of them in YEARS.

We got to see Gus's side of our family and my parents, brother and his family, and friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and then Fr. Terry and Mary Breeding too. It was wonderful.

 

We then headed to Indiana to spend some time with Steve's side of our family. His dad and Sue Ann threw a party for Gus's birthday and we had a great time at their farm. Gus is a fish and loved swimming... we think we're going to need to put him in swim classes shortly. Add it to our growing list of things we want to do when our NC house sells.  :-)

We got back on Memorial Day and we spent last week just trying to get into our routine. It wasn't too hard to get back on track and Gus did a GREAT job of readjusting and he's back to our regularly scheduled programming. :-)

Since we're in June, I'll give you a play by play of the last three days.

Friday, June 1st-

We went to a place called Superior Play Systems with my MOMS Club for their open play time. All the playsets are for sale and it's their showroom. Every Wednesday and Friday they have a three-hour open play time and the kids can play on their stuff for free! It's great... BUT was SUPER crowded with kids being out of school and it being a rainy day. We'll wait to go back until the fall when it'll be less crowded.

Saturday, June 2nd-

We headed to the Apple store and got ourselves two iPads and then we came home and had a great day of staying home and not doing much. Gus enjoyed playing with his new birthday toys and Steve and I enjoyed our new iPads. :-)

Sunday, June 3rd (today)-
I got Gus a splash pad (it's broke already) to play in outside. He loves water and loved the water day on Thursday. Here are some pictures of him playing in the backyard and in the sprinkler/water pad/hose:

We had a great weekend and have a busy week ahead of us. I'll try to get on and post more pictures as the week progresses! I've uploaded all the pictures from vacation to Facebook and will start adding pictures onto the family share site!!
