Gus's Grandiose Gabble: Week 56 (June 7th, 2011)

Me at 56 Weeks Old (12 months and 4 weeks)

We are in June already... crazy isn't it?! This last week was a lot of fun and I went to the community pool for the first time! I also went to a Durham Bulls game with mom and dad, Jen and Matt. I had a great time! Here are some pictures from my fun week!

June 1st

I started my day off by playing with Elphie. She's my favorite animal in our house and she always makes me laugh. I like to feed her too... and she likes me to feed her.

I've started to play more with my shape toys (blocks of various shapes and colors) and I like to put them into containers and then take them out. I also like to put all the Little People farm animals into the silo and then fish them out.

Mom and I went to the pool with Wendy and the girls for the first time on Thursday! I was excited to go into a big pool where I float around. Mom had a yellow float that Wendy gave her and I liked being in it. My favorite part was seeing all the people and checking everyone out.

June 2nd

Thursday morning I decided to sleep in... I got 14 hours of sleep! Mom said it was the pool that wore me out!! When we got up, we went to the mall with Wendy and the girls and mom stopped at Toys R Us and got me some toys. She got a float that looks like a frog (and has a shaded part) and she got me a new ball pit! I was excited to try it out!

Mom also got me the LeapFrog Tag Jr reading system! She got me four books at the store and then went onto Amazon and ordered me the reader and a carrying case. I'm too little to use it right now, but in a few months I'll be able to use it and enjoy it!

We got home from shopping and had lunch, and then Kristen and Grace came over and the four of us went swimming!

After spending about an hour at the pool, we came home and I took a nap. When I woke up, mom had the ballpit ready for me! I loved it so much!!

June 3rd

Friday morning I played in my ballpit all morning, and then one of the ladies in mom's MOMS Club came over to drop off some toys for me. Mom got me the Laugh & Learn House (it's awesome) and then the Little People playground and zoo, and then also the LeapFrog phonics fridge set!

After I played with my new toys, mom and I went grocery shopping for the week.

We came home and mom put out some items from around the house for me to use as drums! It was so much fun! I used a lid, a pot, two plastic tubs, and then I also used two wooden cooking spoons as drumsticks!

June 4th

Daddy and I got up and played all morning. It was our "No Rules Saturday" and he and I just hung out until mom came down. We had breakfast together as a family in the livingroom and we played all day. We didn't go anywhere or do anything and it was great!

In the afternoon, after my nap and lunch, we went outside and I played in my pool and at my water table. I also had fun playing with my towel...

June 5th

Sunday morning we played most of the morning and then I took a nap.

When I got up, we had lunch and then shortly after, we got ready to head to Durham for the Durham Bulls vs the Pawtuckett Red Sox game at the DBAP. We met Jen and Matt at the game. Here are some pictures from the game:
